Countries of the Commonwealth

There are 53 countries in the Commonwealth.
Thirty-two of these member countries are small states in most of which the population numbers less than 1.5 million people. There are more than 1.7 billion people in the Commonwealth.

Also included in the Commonwealth are a number of self-governing states and territories which are governed by or associated with three Commonwealth members - Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
